Macro Lens Test

So I finally bought and received my Canon 60mm macro lens from DWI. First impressions? It's a quiet lens, is lighter than my previous zoom and can take both portrait and macro photos. I'm only just beginning so hopefully I get some better images going hehe

1st attempt in trying to get as close as possible to a fly using a large aperture of f/2.8, for a greater depth of field.

Pink lily flower in full bloom on the day of February 3rd.
Its fragrant smell fills the room while its colours of pale pink and white shine beautifully even from afar.

It's a large gelati for $7... didn't end up finishing this with my friend but it was so good! Dared not to eat anything dairy after that for the rest of the day.
